Working remotely undertaking GIS mapping, bat call identification and training.

In this role I undertake bat roost assessments and reports, produce high quality maps using ArcGIS, manage team members, co-ordinate and manage project tasks, I am often the lead surveyor on bat, great crested newt and reptile surveys, undertake training of new staff members, alongside the day to day tasks of undertaking surveys, data analysis and report writing.

Primary duties included, diary management, client liaison, office management, implementation of new systems for all paper work, setting up of a computer based filing system development of company website and book keeping.

I worked as a seasonal field ecologist for 6 months where my primary duties included implementing large scale mitigation projects for great crested newt as a registered assistant, including pitfall trapping and translocation of newts to a receptor site. I also delivered large scale reptile translocations, and undertook reptile and bat surveys

I assisted with upkeep and running of the aquarium – including preparing food, feeding the animals, cleaning tanks and giving talks and demonstrations to the public on particular species.
