Working within the Research and Innovation team at the University of East Anglia (UEA), my role is to support the development of strategic relationships and partnerships between UEA and business, public and third sector organisations, with a particular focus on business, financial and legal services.I work closely with academics, connecting UEA's research expertise and external organisations to overcome business challenges and support innovation and growth, both regionally and further afield. This can involve identifying funding opportunities to support joint projects (such as Innovate UK Business Connect funded Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs)), knowledge exchange, research and consultancy services. I also work closely with internal colleagues who provide access to talent through internships, student projects and placements.

Norwich

A member of the senior management team with responsibility for marketing and working with the CEO on development activity to support local community groups. My main focus was to promote the work of NCF, expanding the reach of the Foundation to new audiences and developing strong relationships with new and existing donors, professional advisors and other stakeholders. Achievements have included implementing a new donor care programme and playing a key role in engaging a new generation of charitable givers through the Norfolk Future Fund collective giving initiative (and helping to win a Beacon Award for innovation in philanthropy for it!)

East Anglia

Working across the regional base (Norwich, Ipswich, Cambridge and Chelmsford) this role included supporting the firm’s partners on tenders, proposals, presentations, legal directories as well as developing practice area/industry sector business development (including food, social housing, energy and construction) and intranet resources and content. I was a member of the firm's CSR committee with a key role in driving forward community engagement.

Uk Role - Based Manchester/Wilmslow

National role supporting the director of a number of Hays brands (HR, Purchasing and Sales & Marketing). Role included promoting to external audiences, internal operations support, events management, co-ordinating advertising across the brands, internal communications, including intranet content, and producing proposals and presentations.

Advertising executive - my first role out of Uni, I started as administrator and progressed quickly to advertising account exec which involved client account management for a range of private and public sector organisations including Sheffield Hallam University, CIS, Unilever and Greenalls/De Vere.
