About Anna Dvortcsak

Anna Dvortcsak is a licensed speech pathologist in private practice in Portland, Oregon. She provides individual and group training to families with children with autism and related disorders, individualized speech and language services, and training to professionals working with children with autism and related disorders. Anna consults with school districts, private practices, and hospitals to train staff to use naturalistic treatment strategies to enhance children’s engagement, imitation, language, and play skills and to use parent mediated interventions. Together with Dr. Brooke Ingersoll Anna developed Project ImPACT (Teaching Social Communication to Children with Autism), Guilford Press, 2010. The second edition of this program will be available in May of 2019. Anna provides training and certification in Project ImPACT both nationally and internationally. Project ImPACT is a parent-mediated intervention that focuses on improving children’s social engagement, language, imitation, and play skills. Parent Mediated interventions were identified as evidenced based in the National Standards Project (Phase 2, 2015 http://www.nationalautismcenter.org/national-standards-project/). Project ImPACT utilizes evidenced based Naturalistic Teaching Strategies (National Standards Project, Phase 1, 2009 and Phase 2 (2015).
