As a PhD student in the Lab of Dr. Kathryn Nightingale, I completed my PhD in Biomedical Engineering including a dissertation entitled "Characterizing Shear and Tensile Anisotropy in Skeletal Muscle Using Ultrasonic Rotational 3D Shear Wave Elastography". My research focused on using ultrasound elastography in translational research, specifically computational FEM modeling and reconstructing mechanical material parameters in skeletal muscle. Some of my work included:- Adapting and developing ultrasound clinical scanner shear wave sequences to measure mechanical properties- Writing IRB protocols and managing 4+ clinical collaborations for in vivo translational studies-Developing computational and FEM simulations tools for modeling biomechanical properties -Assisting in grant writing and preparation that led to successful R01 fundinng-Presenting original research at 5 international conferences, authoring 25 (both first- and co-) presentations, authoring 5 (3 co- author, 2 first author) full length papers in prestigious journals-Developing curriculum and multi-modality lesson modules for range of students from elementary school to upper-level graduate students

-Performed elasticity phantom validation tests to determine repeatability and reliability of new software version on clinical ultrasound scanner-Identified and reported software bug pre-release that would have affected patient safety metrics
