Occupational Therapist
CurrentInitially worked two days per week before transitioning to full time in the outpatient clinic working 40 hours per week in February of 2013. Currently specializing in hand therapy working as a member of an interdisciplinary team consisting of occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy. Responsible for patient evaluation, treatment plan development, treatment of patients, documentation, splint fabrication, and the supervision of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Currently treating patients ages seven through 90 with a variety of diagnoses including but not limited to repetitive trauma injuries both conservative and post-surgical (lateral and medial epicondylitis, DeQuervains syndrome, intersection syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, radial tunnel syndrome, etc), workers’ compensation claims, flexor and extensor tendon lacerations, extensor tendon centralization, TFCC injuries (conservative treatment and post-surgical treatment), distal and proximal biceps tendon repair, rotator cuff repair, SLAP repair, shoulder scopes, shoulder tendinitis, and other upper extremity orthopedic issues (both conservative and post-surgical). Also working with breast cancer patients both pre and post radiation and reconstructive surgery, TBI, SCI, CVA, MS, and other neurological diagnoses.
