A Modern twist on the ‘Pom pom’, translated as sumptuous almost edible delights, which stimulate the senses.Having graduated from Loughborough University , England in July this year with a 2:1(Hons) Degree in Multimedia Textiles Design, This recent project called ‘Explosions and Flowers’ has enthralled me to develop my own range of textiles applied to both Fashion and Interiors.Being a true ideas person , my designs spring from a passionate approach to research. I love to see how research inspires the creative process, and how within an industry environment, research translates design into something marvel at. The more outlets to create the better. The sky’s the limit!

Assistant Buyer responsibilities - meeting and liasing with suppliers, and website management, adding new seasons images and styles, optimizing URL’s, and monitoring and reporting on web analytics. Visual merchandizing - refurbishing an old Blooming Marvellous store. Assisting with fashion photo shoots. Learning the technical construction of garments on the maternity body shape with the technician to fit first samples.

As a member of the Materials and Trims Team, I managed the extensive 07.08 — 12.08 fabric library in the Apparel Development Department - skills included meticulous administration, appreciation of quality standards, fabric usage and rigorous testing procedures. Facilitating effective communication between fabric development technicans and designers. Tasked to research and report on all garment washing processes for the global brand. Collating and analysing data to compare the different factories’ washing techniques, specifically addressing the eco-friendly production processes and achieving consistency in mass production. Jointly responsible for organising a national materials exhibition to showcase the latest in Adidas’ fabric developments aimed at designers, marketing personnel and suppliers.

Small company based in, Hertfordshire Part time Job role included: Reportage wedding photography on second camera, directing the style of artistic and group shots.

Practically assisting designers, working to tight deadlines, My responsibilities included dying, preparing screens, styling individually commissioned designs, sewing, embroidering and tie-dyeing.

Designed a Spring/Summer range for 8-14 year olds and a boy’s , Summer 04 range for Mothercare. Tasked to buy inspirational samples for a new season’s range. Electronically cataloguing garments purchased.
