In this role, I deliver equitable and culturally responsive dedicated and embedded English Language Development (ELD) instruction to newcomers and other multilingual students. I also serve as an Instructional Coach, as I develop capacity among new and veteran educators to implement CLDE best practices in their classrooms. Finally, I perform administrative duties as requested by my supervisor, including service to the Instructional Leadership and MTSS (Multi Tiered Systems of Support) Teams.

In this role, I developed and executed a district mentoring program for 350+ educators, aligned with CDE Mentor Program Grant. I also created and implemented an in-person and virtual Teacher Induction Program in collaboration with Lead Coaches and the CLDE Department. This program reached 300+ new educators.Finally, I coordinated three successful district-wide professional release days for classified and licensed staff, including development of Universal Messaging for the district, training of 150+ facilitators, reservation of building sites, implementation of technology, and course creation and compliance monitoring on PowerSchool.Samples of the professional learning sequences I produced in this role are available upon request.

In this role, I coached a caseload of approximately 100 high school juniors and seniors. I developed individualized postgraduate transition plans for each student and met with the student and their family at least twice per year to provide guidance and support. I also managed 100+ student profiles on Overgrad and analyzed Overgrad data to assess progress, identify gaps, and prepare reports for key stakeholders.I also maintained relationships with over 50 colleges and universities through Campus Representative Visits and Campus Tours, directed athletic recruitment initiatives for soccer, baseball, volleyball, track and field, and football, and managed Daniels Fund, Questbridge and Boettcher Scholarship programs. Finally, I designed and implemented the DSST Summer Programs Initiative (Summer 2024), led the 11th Grade MTSS Team, served as the Gifted and Talented Coordinator, and designed and taught the 11th Grade Internships Course, the 9th and 10th Grade College Seminar Courses, and the Denver Test Prep SAT Course. I also led the Hiking Club!

In this role, I trained 100+ undergraduate fellows on high-impact teaching practices using the iReady 4th grade literacy curriculum. Then, I worked with these fellows to schedule, implement, and debrief reading interventions. I provided structured coaching for each undergraduate staff member to achieve ambitious literacy results via 11.5 hours of professional development, followed by weekly 40-min observations and 60 minute 1:1 meetings.I also modified iReady curricula and implemented virtual systems for student performance, in partnership with the School Principal and Student Services Director. Finally, I delivered 200+ Panorama pre surveys and post surveys to 4th grade students and teachers, to assess the performance of the Ignite Program.

In this role, I designed and implemented culturally responsive biology, physics, physical education, and guidance curricula for students in grades 7-12 at a Hawaiian-Focused Charter School. I also partnered with the University of Hawaii at Manoa to run an after-school hiking and fitness program, called PALS. I scaled this program to a full 10-week summer experience, called Pua Kaiaulu, under the direction of Dr. Kay Fukuda. Through these programs, I built lasting partnerships with Hawaiian cultural organizations, including Ka'ala Farms and Ma'o Farms. I also created systems for student success at Kamaile. I developed and implemented an ACT preparation curriculum for 11th grade students, in my role as an advisor. I even coached varsity soccer, track, and cross country running, and managed athletic recruitment profiles via MaxPreps.I am extremely proud of the growth I was able to drive in my biology classroom. In SY 2020-2021 (before I was hired), less than 5 percent of junior biology students at Kamaile scored "proficient" on the state exam. In SY 2021-2022, 73 percent of junior biology students at Kamaile scored in the "proficient" category. This data demonstrates how I increased my students' access to grade level science content.

In this role, I completed my Teach For America Corps Member service while teaching Project Lead the Way Biomedical Science and Human Anatomy, as well as Honors Chemistry, to students in grades 9-12. I completed 300 hours of Project Lead the Way Professional Learning and received a national certification. I also completed the ASPIRE Alternative Licensure Program through CU Denver with a GPA of 4.0.In my second year at Atlas Preparatory, I was a 3M and Donors Choose Grant Recipient. This grant funded science resources for my classroom, including 30 cow lung dissection kits. My students and I also formed a meaningful partnership with the Pueblo Forensic Laboratory, culminating in a "career shadow day."Finally, I served as a dedicated coach for varsity basketball and varsity track and field. I provided students and families with athletic recruitment guidance for college.

In this role, I was selected from over 46,000 applicants nationwide to join the national teacher corps of 6,000 recent college graduates who commit to two years to teach in under-resourced public and charter schools.I then participated in an intensive 2-month training program (Summer Institute 2019 - Houston, TX) to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to measurably increase student achievement. Finally, I taught in a summer school in Texas (Deady Middle School), under the supervision of licensed teachers and engaged in a full schedule of over 350 professional development hours.

In this role, I recruited and retained a diverse student cohort for the Management, Leadership, and Development Program (MLDP). I then developed and administered student satisfaction surveys in partnership with Pulse. I also collaborated with the Rockefeller Center's adult leadership team to create a full schedule of relevant speakers and professional development events for Dartmouth undergraduates. I maintained high-stakes partnerships with Dartmouth alumni through this role.

In this role, I served the Dartmouth Office of Admissions by answering Admissions Office phones and directing callers to the appropriate individuals or teams. I also developed and executed Information Sessions and other presentations for prospective students.Finally, I supported the Office of Financial Aid with scheduling and coordinating student appointments and responded to email inquiries in a prompt and professional manner.In my final year of this role, I even participated in initiatives to recruit and retain a diverse student body and maintained a Student Admissions Blog.

In this role, I became the first recipient of the Women in the Outdoors Fund, with another Dartmouth '19. We used the grant to lead a group of 8 women on a mountaineering trip to the French, Swiss, and Italian Alps in 2018. Our goal was to further the skill development of women in mountaineering. I also became WFR Certified through SOLO Schools New Hampshire. After obtaining that certification, I led 10+ 1-3 week backpacking trips across the United States, in destinations from Texas to Maine to Hawaii. I also led 50+ day trips across the White Mountains, including 8 Franconia Ridge Traverses, 4 Presidential Traverses, 3 Carter Traverses, 1 Pemi Loop, and 3 winter ascents of Mount Madison. Finally, in this role, I completed the Dartmouth 50 (an extended hike/endurance race), then directed the event the following semester, with 2 fantastic co-directors!

In this role, I was the lead counselor for all backcountry programs. I primarily led day trips and overnight trips in Baxter State Park, including multiple ascents of Mount Katahdin. During this role, I completed a Wilderness First Responder Re-Certification Course and passed an on-site exam to drive activity buses. I also completed mastery assessments to teach kayaking and canoeing.

In this role, I became certified in Chainsaw Operation and Leave No Trace Master Educator. I also worked at least once per week as the Alpine Steward for Mount Moosilauke. In that role, I interacted with hikers and campers, provided outdoor education, and offered basic first aid. I also learned backcountry cooking and camping skills, as most week of this role involved remote tent/tarp camping. Such camping was a requirement to adequately maintain the 56 miles of the Appalachian Trail owned by Dartmouth College.Finally, in this role, I learned all basic components of trail maintenance, including safety and site management, rock/stump removal, water management/drainage techniques, use of hand tools (including rock bars), and protocols to decrease erosion.

In this role, I led multiple backpacking trips and day trips for middle and high school-aged campers. All backpacking trips took place on the Appalachian Trail in Maine and New Hampshire. I also led overnight canoe trips. To prepare for each trip, I created detailed maps, meal plans, and group safety plans. I also collaborated with other trip leaders, and with camp management, to ensure camper safety at all times.
