I have experience leading at the classroom, school site, and district level.As I pursue my Ph.D., I am seeking innovative opportunities to align my passion for culturally responsive education with leadership. I am interested in curriculum development and instruction.I am currently based in Boulder, Colorado. Outside of work, I enjoy mountain running, baking, and writing!

    In this role, I coached a caseload of approximately 100 high school juniors and seniors. I developed individualized postgraduate transition plans for each student and met with the student and their family at least twice per year to provide guidance and support. I also managed 100+ student profiles on Overgrad and analyzed Overgrad data to assess progress, identify gaps, and prepare reports for key stakeholders.I also maintained relationships with over 50 colleges and universities through Campus Representative Visits and Campus Tours, directed athletic recruitment initiatives for soccer, baseball, volleyball, track and field, and football, and managed Daniels Fund, Questbridge and Boettcher Scholarship programs. Finally, I designed and implemented the DSST Summer Programs Initiative (Summer 2024), led the 11th Grade MTSS Team, served as the Gifted and Talented Coordinator, and designed and taught the 11th Grade Internships Course, the 9th and 10th Grade College Seminar Courses, and the Denver Test Prep SAT Course.     In this role, I designed and implemented culturally responsive biology, physics, physical education, and guidance curricula for students in grades 7-12 at a Hawaiian-Focused Charter School. I also partnered with the University of Hawaii at Manoa to run an after-school hiking and fitness program, called PALS. I scaled this program to a full 10-week summer experience, called Pua Kaiaulu, under the direction of Dr. Kay Fukuda. Through these programs, I built lasting partnerships with Hawaiian cultural organizations, including Ka'ala Farms and Ma'o Farms. I also created systems for student success at Kamaile. I developed and implemented an ACT preparation curriculum for 11th grade students, in my role as an advisor. I even coached varsity soccer, track, and cross country running, and managed athletic recruitment profiles via MaxPreps.I am extremely proud of the growth I was able to drive in my biology classroom. In SY 2020-2021 (before I was hired), less than 5 percent of junior biology students at Kamaile scored "proficient" on the state exam. In SY 2021-2022, 73 percent of junior biology students at Kamaile scored in the "proficient" category. This data demonstrates how I increased my students' access to grade level science content.

I also led 50+ day trips across the White Mountains, including 8 Franconia Ridge Traverses, 4 Presidential Traverses, 3 Carter Traverses, 1 Pemi Loop, and 3 winter ascents of Mount Madison. Finally, in this role, I completed the Dartmouth 50 (an extended hike/endurance race), then directed the event the following semester, with 2 fantastic co-directors!
