"The role of host genetic determinants in severe courses of RSV infection." The aim of the project is to understand the role of one exoribonuclease gen in human respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection and how genetic mutations within it may affect severe courses of RSV infection. Severe RSV infections in children without predisposed risk factors are often observed in a specific population, suggesting a correlation with certain gene expression patterns.
