Having graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a first-class degree in primary teacher education and qualified teacher status, I have enjoyed developing my pedagogy to suit both the needs of my class and my personal beliefs and views on teaching. I am passionate about ensuring that each child’s unique, individual strengths and creativity are nurtured to allow them to achieve their full potential. I am a firm believer in applying the Maslow Hierarchy of Needs in my practice – placing the emotional wellbeing, sense of safety and security as paramount to both learning progress and the holistic development of a child Furthermore, I believe that a positive and collaborative relationship between home and school is key to ensuring that each family feels supported and valued within their child’s educational journey. Parents and families are a child’s first educator, and it is vital that both the child and family feel empowered and supported within each step of the educational journey.
