Wound Ostomy Nurse
Current• Certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence, (CWOCN), in an acute care setting, managing chronic or complicated wounds, fistulas, ostomies, tubes, and problems associated with incontinence. Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team performing direct patient care and education, new hire orientation, ongoing staff training, and vendor management of wound and ostomy supplies and other durable medical equipment used in the hospital environment.• Participated in evidence based practice fellowship, including the development of a protocol to prevent pressure ulcers in critically ill patients.Member of the Drive to Zero Committee focusing on preventing CAUTIs, CLABSIs, Falls and HAPUs.
