Veterinary Science MRCVS Graduate from the University of Bristol. In 2021-22, I successfully intercalated to achieve a 1st Class BSc in Bioethics, writing my dissertation thesis on the legal, scientific and social implications of current disparities in drug legislation between public and private healthcare.Particular areas of veterinary interest include: charity care, ECC, ethics and animal behaviour. An excellent communicator and logical thinker, I particularly enjoy working on neurology and behaviour cases, and taking opportunities to teach my client how to improve their animal’s welfare. I have a particular passion for sighthounds, and am looking to further my knowledge of all their (medical) quirks!Outside of academics, I am heavily involved in the England Basketball community, captaining Bristol Womens First Team since my second year, serving on the committee in a variety of roles, and assisting with coaching development teams. I have won numerous awards for my work as President of Bristol Basketball, where I managed the entire programme at the University, from grassroots to our 1st teams. I am a L2 qualified coach, table official and referee. Following experience gained volunteering within wheelchair basketball, I am now looking to transfer these skills to the veterinary charity sector. I am currently in the planning stages for projects outside of my main job, focusing on pet care for the homeless.
