In September 2024, I began working as a veterinary surgeon at Leeds Birstall 24/7 Hospital, under the Vets4Pets Graduate Programme.I am excited to get involved in first opinion practice. My current areas of interest are ECC and canine behaviour.

Following the pandemic, I moved roles to join the hospitality team at Ashton Gate Stadium. The stadium serves a diverse crowd; one afternoon I can be found pulling pints on the pitchside bar and that same evening I may be pouring champagne to rugby stars for a black tie event. This has taught me invaluable skills in fair delegation, effective instruction giving and problem solving. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was employed by the University of Bristol to work as a site assistant at their multiple asymptomatic testing sites. I worked mainly as a test operative, but also in various "front of house" roles. The role allowed me to practice communicating quickly and effectively with the public, as well as developing more specific lab-based skills.

To support myself financially during my studies, I worked at the local stadium selling programmes to attendees of the rugby and football games. I was required to be quick on my feet, handling large amounts of cash and crowds in a fast-paced environment.

To enhance my confidence with horses prior to applying to University, I worked with the riding school horses at Greenacres Equestrian. This began as a volunteering role but after six months I was offered a paid job managing the team of volunteer stable-hands, many of whom have significant learning and/or physical disabilities, as an RDA/Special Olympics linked school.I was able to develop my abilities in communicating effectively and kindly with my team, supporting them to learn the skills… Show more To enhance my confidence with horses prior to applying to University, I worked with the riding school horses at Greenacres Equestrian. In this role I worked with a variety of children aged 4-11 in an after-school care setting, based at a primary school. I was responsible for collecting children and registering them, leading activities and games, serving dinner, encouraging educational play, communicating effectively with parents, and ensuring that safeguarding principles were always upheld.

To support myself financially during my A-Levels, I had a paid position working on the tills in a school canteen. The job tested one’s ability to work under pressure, and developed my skills in communicating to a wide range of people and developing positive relationships with customers.
