Collaborated with a graduate student to build a new load balance to be used in the low-speed wind tunnel at NC State. The load balance will have the ability to change both the sweep angle and angle of attack of the model of interest. Independently created 9 different 3-D printed wing models for testing using the new load balance. A MATLAB program was also created to predict the potential loading the model will experience during testing. This important to ensure the loads experienced during testing do not exceed the limits of the load cell.Preliminary research was conducted into an automated load balance to change the sweep, angle of attack and roll of the model of interest.
