What does a history geek, artist, and musician do with her life? She goes to school for Foreign Language. Ever passionate about the diverse societies and cultures that make our world spectacular, I aim to be the link between separate worlds. Whether that be through the use of Spanish or Arabic, French or Mandarin—all languages I plan to master—I want to facilitate exchange and prosperity on social and professional levels. Today's world increasingly demands the collaboration of all its citizens, and I mean to make that happen. As I work toward that goal through studies and broadening my own connections, I am preparing by working as a piano teacher at Accurate Performance School of Music in Erie, Pennsylvania. As a teacher, I am learning how to properly manage my time and prepare ahead, as well as how to adapt to situations and creatively solve problems. These skills enable me to actively engage my students and make lesson time not a chore but a worthwhile and fun learning experience—not only for them, but for me as well.
