The Leveraging Economic Opportunities (LEO) contract served as USAID's primary vehicle for learning in the area of market systems development and was the capstone project of over 10 years of investment by the agency in its value chain and market systems approach. Promoted to Chief of Party for the final 5 months after serving as a lead component manager for 2 years. Provided technical input and final quality control on 30 publications (of the 72 produced life of project), and co-authored several technical deliverables. Managed 5 subs and dozens of staff and consultants, directly overseeing $2.5 million in spending during my time as CoP. Represented the project at high-profile meetings and coordinated a closing conference.About LEO: LEO conducted research and applied learning in a variety of technical areas, including M&E for market systems, systemic change, wage labor and pathways out of poverty, resilience, women's economic empowerment, youth, and models for scale.
