When I first started at Taco Mac I was a hostess, but then I was promoted to To Go Specialist. As a hostess I worked in the fast pace environment the front of house can often provide. I kept track of current seating availability and wait staff rotations and sat people accordingly. I noticed I was able to keep a smile and warm attitude despite my stress, which is something my managers noticed as well.As a To Go Specialist I am constantly on the go. Especially now during the pandemic, when it seems that Uber Eats, Door Dash, and to go orders in general are in higher demand than ever. In this position I handle cash and cards, maintain excellent customer service both over the phone and in person, "plate" the orders in and ensure nothing is missing, and input all orders into the POS system throughout my shift. I am now a certified trainer for Taco Mac locations, which has included being asked to train staff at grand openings for a sister location.

I began my time at Gourmet Foods International as a temp, but they quickly decided to acquire me on as a full time position employee. My responsibilities in this position included keying invoice only and credit invoices, inputted checks and cash from our inbound driver reports, and scanned POD from our drivers and inputted it into our DocStar systems. This position required a lot of attention to detail. I enjoyed exploring my potential in an office position and would look forward to going back to that type of setting.

In my time at Texas Road house my responsibilities included talking to customers and keeping a happy attitude no matter what’s thrown at me, keeping things clean and organized, leading when needed but also being able to step back and observe what area needs the most help, working in the less exciting or less appealing areas like bussing, silverware rolling, setting up, and talking on the phone. I would work 12 hours shifts without complaints and make sure my work was consistent and clean. Treating everyone as an important, kind, and well paying customer was my highest priority.
