Moving to Stavanger with my family in 2022 made my childhood dream come true. My passion for Norway – its culture, mountains, fjords, and glaciers – was born in 1997 on my first summer vacation in Norway. Since then, I’ve dreamt of Norway. So much so that I started learning the language in the afternoons after school and later at university, alongside my studies in geology. And that was another dream – working in geoscience. During my bachelor’s studies I asked myself how I could combine my somehow contrasting geoscientific interests, tectonics and glaciers. This led me to the University Centre in Svalbard, where I could catch the Norwegian atmosphere and feel a breath of wilderness.Since then, I have worked at the interface between Structural Geology, Sedimentology, and Quaternary Science. I have intensively investigated the glacier kinematics and dynamics in the southwestern Baltic Sea region for several years. This helped me learn and develop the following methods to manage the challenges of structurally complex locations:geological modelling | balancing of geological cross sections | field-based sedimentological investigations | LiDAR data analysis | geomorphological mapping | GIS-based spatial analysis (profile stacking, Fourier analysis) | microstructural analysis | UAV-based 3D photogrammetryI am happy to contribute with my expertise on our way to a zero-carbon society, in offshore wind energy and geohazards. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge in talks and workshops, based on my teaching experience as researcher/lecturer at university. But beyond that, I am delighted at learning new specialized fields and tools.I view myself as Creative | Strategic | Responsible-minded | Self-organized | Passionate | Learner | TeacherI am dedicated to using my knowledge and expertise to care for both my company’s goals and the planet we inhabit. Do not hesitate to contact me, if you want to know more about me and I am happy to connect with you.
