- Greet visitors, ascertain nature of business and direct visitors to employer or appropriate person- Compile data, statistics and other information to support research activities- Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings of employer- Record and prepare minutes of meetings- Order office supplies and maintain inventory- Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems- Answer telephone and electronic enquiries and relay telephone calls and messages- Arrange travel schedules and make reservations- Organize conferences

- Assist in the preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls- Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met- Review, evaluate and implement new administrative procedures- Carry out administrative activities of establishment- Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation- Co-ordinate and plan for office services such as equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance and security services- Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures
