Coventry, City of Languages is a project that came about due to my colleague's and my frustration about the demise of our subject specialism. We aim to raise the profile of all languages spoken in Coventry, celebrate home and community languages, improve teaching and learning of languages across the city, upskill primary school teachers who are often expected to teach a language with no prior knowledge of it, and promote the importance of languages for work as the British Academy estimates that the UK economy loses out on £48 billion a year due to the lack of language skills.Working with the University of Warwick, Coventry University, the British Council, Coventry City Council, the Institut Français, Consejería de Educación, Goethe Institute and several other organisations and local businesses.

Key Responsibilities:- Leading a team of volunteers to deliver a high quality customer service for theatre clients,- Responsibility for finances: sorting floats; cashing up; ensuring tills balance at the end of the show,- Responsibility for health and safety of staff and clients,- Dealing with customer queries and complaints,- Liaising with technical staff and visiting companies to ensure the smooth running of shows,- completing all paperwork and show reports.

The Make House specialises in papercrafting classes and workshops, including cardmaking, scrapbooking and 3D papercrafts. We are also available to organise children's craft parties (age 8+), adult craft parties, and we also have a mobile shop for all your craft supply needs.
