Midwives provide support and education to women during pregnancy and childbirth as well as GYN care to women of all ages. We believe that pregnancy is a normal and healthy event in a woman's life. We screen and monitor your pregnancy, and we are able to refer you to a MD if needed. However, our focus it to educate and empower women so that they are informed about their bodies and the decisions they make. Midwives usually are allotted more time with a patient during prenatal care, this allow us to take time to answer questions and to genuinely connect with the mother and her partner. As a certified nurse midwife (CNM), I have an RN degree and I deliver in a hospital setting. CNM's deliver 98% of the time in hospitals, but we do have the potential to do homebirths.
