Anna Gress is the associate director of talent strategy for Hearst. In this role, she helps develop strategic initiatives connected to career development and DEI across Hearst’s businesses. Gress joined Hearst in 2015, starting as an executive assistant to the president and transitioned to operational roles. During her tenure she has held positions within Hearst Corporate, Entertainment & Syndication, Magazines and Fitch Group. (Fitch is a global leader in credit ratings and research, owned by Hearst.) Prior to Hearst, Gress held positions with BBC America, a network owned by BBC Studios and AMC. She also held an account role at Civic Entertainment Group, a full-service public relations agency, working the Airbnb, Goop, HBO and Verizon accounts.She holds leadership positions on two non-profit steering committees in New York City raising funds for elementary students and military veterans: United Way of New York City’s Women United and the New York City Daughter’s of the American Revolution.She is currently an MBA Candidate at Lehigh University and holds an undergraduate degree in Communications from Ithaca College, as well as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Certificate for Human Resources Professionals from Cornell University. Outside of work, Anna is a marathoner and triathlete and owns a yoga and calligraphy business.
