About Anna Grieve
I moved to Brisbane from Switzerland to study Environmental Science at Griffith University. After my studies I was fortunate enough to get a position at CCIQ ecoBiz, where we helped small businesses reduce their electricity, water and waste bills. I was then accepted into the Impact Academy Program to develop a tool to help reduce household food waste called Lean Kitchen. It is still a work in progress, which is why I took the opportunity to work for Field Orthopaedics, an orthopaedics medical device start-up. I initially took on the roles of Executive Assistant to the CEO, Office Manager and Company Secretary. After two year I was then promoted to Product Distribution Lead, where I helped with the company’s bookkeeping, stock movements and quality management system. This opportunity gave me a great insight into the building blocks of the company. Working at a start-up I’ve come to realise how much I enjoy working within a tight knit team and helping any one where I could. I thoroughly enjoyed taking managing the day-to-day in the office and developing a strong relationship with every staff member. In my spare time I like to write, go running and take care of my garden.
