- Conduct, lead, and supervise collecting hydrologic data such as water quality samples and discharge measurements from baseflow to flooding events per USGS standards to support cooperator needs - Collect, analyze, and approve water resource data from discrete sampling to continuous water-quality instrumentation related to river conditions per USGS requirements for publicized data - Cooperators use data from our continuous monitors to determine if water should be diverted or allowed into reservoirs from rivers, allowing the potential to cut cost of treating public drinking water- Utilize, maintain, and modify computer programs and software to support the USGS's hydrology program- This can include the web-based applications Aquarius Time Series/Aquarius Samples and software such as R studio to analyze real time data as it is released to the web and results from water quality samples by looking for outliers in the data- Lab Manager for the Oklahoma City office

- Assisted in public outreach, routine monitoring of local watersheds, and best managements practices to protect water quality - Deployed, calibrated, maintained, and recovered stream monitoring equipment including data sondes, automated samplers, and telemetry equipment- Collected, processed, and analyzed water quality samples- Analyzed and abstracted water quality data ensuring it’s within EPA’s and TCEQ’s QA/QC criteria - Evaluated and reported water quality data and information to effectively communicate results

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration / National Weather Service / Caribbean Tsunami Warning Program - Finalizing an international guide on how to conduct tsunami exercises, developing an image database, and identifying social science resources in the Caribbean region.

- Creating and presenting material for school field trips: giving educational presentations. - As an Elm Fork Instructor, we are responsible for teaching kids grade K – 6 inquiry based environmentally conscious science lessons. As a whole we inspire kids to think about their surrounds and their impact on the environment. By teaching kids’ conservation methods at a young age, they can incorporate them into their adult life.

- Provide technical and sale support to customers: categorizing and managing floor inventory as well as basic facility maintenance.

- Reviewing status of permits and contracts for personal and commercial septic systems: occasionally help inspect septic sites and set out mosquito monitoring traps.

- Assisting professors in the department: grading, organizing labs, creating test material and lesson plans.
