While on a study abroad program in Paris, I interned at WWD's (formerly Women's Wear Daily) Paris office. I assisted the Beauty editor in fact checking, interview transcription, and story research. I also wrote a few of my own articles, some of which made it into the daily PDF sent out to subscribers. During fashion week I provided event support and assisted the Editor in Chief from New York.

In the public policy department I focused on the End Child Marriage initiative. Contrary to what I thought before this experience, child marriage occurs in the United States across every race and economic bracket. Sadly, this is legal in most states. I worked on articles for the website and supported Tahirih staff in meetings with lawmakers to end this practice.As part of my communications responsibilities I tracked media mentions and updated the 'Tahirih in the News' section of the website. I also screened media requests and connected journalists with policy experts and survivors.

I created 'rankings' videos to accompany articles for US News and World Report. These videos were posted on the outlet's facebook page, which has over one million likes.

Through my connections as a student ambassador, I began to intern at the university's international admissions department. My responsibilities included maintaining the Facebook page, Instagram page, and Twitter page.

I assisted giving in etiquette lessons and ballroom dance classes for middle school aged children.
