• Prepare and reconcile all billings for insurance payments to vendors.• Prepare and submit all General Ledger Reconciliations for applicable accounts to Accounting each month.• Point of conduct for all employee benefit questions or issues.• Responsible for organizing all Wellness Events within the Credit Union.• Prepare and submit quarterly and annual EEOC=1 Reports.• Responsible for all Medical Support Orders and coordinating implementation with employees and carriers.• Responsible for all Employee Benefit’s Open Enrollment meetings to include ensuring Payroll System is updated for feeds, new codes and/or new benefits. This is accomplished by working closely with carriers and brokers.• Work closely with 3rd party vendor for all FMLA, STD or LTD leaves.• Process all COBRA related activities to ensure coordination with carrier• Handle employee related Worker Compensation incidents which includes coordination with 3rd party vendor to ensure all paperwork is completed timely and accurately.• Supervise Payroll Specialist which includes validation of all payrolls are accurate before submission; along with validation of all payroll reports.

Prepare pension estimates for prospective retirees. Process formula based Pension recalculations for various scenarios. Hold retirement meetings which include in depth discussions concerning pension option selections, health insurance costs, other applicable benefits and pension formula calculations for each retiree. This includes an in depth understanding of each retiree’s needs for retirement. Present Pension information, health costs and Retirement Options at Quarterly Retirement Seminars and at requested staff meetings throughout the company. Daily phone interaction with employees concerning their pension estimates, retirement options and all aspects of employee benefits. Responsible for resolving all employee issues that may arise concerning benefits. Daily analytical reviews of pension estimates ensuring Pension System is accurate and reflective of the employee’s continuous status changes. Maintain retirement information in SAP. Work closely with Payroll to ensure department is notified of any updates/changes regarding employee and retiree updates. Responsible for Pension Payroll, changes, reconciliation of payroll and updates in SAP. Subject Matter Expert for all SAP Query Reporting in Benefits Department.
