The common thread through my career is the passion for operational excellence and striving for continuous improvement. After 16 years working with business development and process improvement cross industries, I had the opportunity to take a break to re-purpose my career for a more sustainable future. I went back to the university to learn all aspects of Sustainable Business Development - from understanding global systemic challenges to companies' role in the transition to a circular economy, sustainable business models and sustainable process improvement to the established reporting frameworks and standards (SASB-FSA, GRI, TCFD, Value Reporting Foundation, ISSB). I’ve decided to dedicate the rest of my career helping organizations to understand how to integrate Sustainability into their strategy and operations. My personal theory of change to encourage companies to join the transition to more sustainable business models is based on: - Integration of environmental and social factors in the overall business strategy.- Understanding the financial impact of sustainability in management accounting.- Align processes and put in place relevant and reliable metrics to support decision making.
