St George’s House was established by the Duke of Edinburgh in 1966. Leadership is at the heart of what they do, whether through their programme of consultations on topics of national and international significance or, indeed, through their Society of Leadership Fellows where the focus is on personal development. The House provides a safe, confidential space for leaders to discuss and explore the compelling leadership issues of our times. The Fellows are a Leadership community limited to 250 invited members from all industries and sectors of the UK, and a number of other countries, who come together for in-depth developmental conversations to “nurture each other’s wisdom”.

Responsible for the governing body for polo in the UK, Ireland and many other countries throughout the world. The HPA are responsible for the handicapping of all players, the organisation of the main fixtures lists and the selection of national teams at all levels. The HPA also have a focus to promote interest in the sport and in developing the sport from grassroots to elite level.

Responsible for the charitable and many of the business operations of RDA. This included setting policies and oversight of RDA's 500 Member Groups, supporting 18 Regions and working with approximately 350 National, Regional and County volunteers. This network supported some 25,000 participants and 18,000 volunteers pre-COVID. This role involved setting the policies and procedures for COVID for the 7 different government jurisdictions covered by RDA during the pandemic and to ensure our particpants, volunteers, staff were kept safe.

Led on increasing participation in all forms of equestrian sport, working closely with BEF's member bodies to develop and implement an insights-led and customer-focussed participation strategy.

Leading on the development of a revision to National Strategy for Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management strategy, working with internal and external stakeholders. Developing a shared vision for the future of flood and coastal erosion risk management across all risk management authorities. Selected to be part of 30 per cent club cross-company mentoring programme for high performing women.

Manager within the National Farming and Water Quality Team, managed a team leading the Environment Agency's input into Rural Development Programme for England. Matrix management of a multi-disciplinary technical team. Influenced the design and implementation of Rural Development, to meet the Environment Agency objectives. Close working with a range of Defra Policy leads as well as internal and external stakeholders. Selected to be part of the Environment Agency's 12-month 'Few' Leadership Development Programme, focussing on leadership, emotional intelligence and personal presence.

Manager of the National Food and Farming Team, responsible for, and oversight of, the work delivered by the Environment Agency in Agriculture. Directly responsible for 10 members of staff in a dispersed environment. Responsible for relationship with Defra on Food and Farming matters and key national stakeholders.

Senior Advisor in in Groundwater and Contaminated Land Team of Environment and Business Directorate. Work areas:- Responsible for Groundwater Resources work- Water Framework Directive (WFD) including being co-chair, and UK representative on EU Working Group C for Groundwater, member of UK Technical Advisory Group Groundwater Task Team for WFD and responsible for groundwater resources methods for WFD. - Work on groundwater dependent wetlands, groundwater licensing/ CAMS, ground source heating and cooling/deep geothermal, climate change and groundwater, groundwater flooding and groundwater and SuDS

Developing networks and partnerships to deliver environmental advice, education and information to farmers and land managers in the Midlands Region.

National policy responsibility for:- Water resources including water efficiency, abstraction licensing, water strategy, water scarcity and drought, non-essential use bans.- Flooding including Pitt Review, coastal erosion and sea flooding, drainage issues, working with Internal Drainage Boards, land management approaches to flood risk management.- Climate change and water- England Catchment Sensitive Farming Delivery Initiative.- Pesticides and the Voluntary Initiative.- Water Framework Directive and River Basin Management Plans.- Resource protection and agri-environment schemes.- LIFE funded WAgriCo project partner

Involved all hydrogeological duties ranging from site work, supervision and borehole construction to groundwater risk assessments. Project management, staff manager of 5 technicians. Technical input into Water Framework Directive for groundwater and Nitrate Vulnerable Zone delineation.
