I pull together over 300 community and internal stakeholders, and manage the running of a highly intensive, week long Population Heath event for the University’s fifth year medical students. A core part of the medical programme. Students learn about “upstream” approaches to tackle Population health issues and hear first hand experiences form community agencies working in the Population Heath arena. Students are tasked with coming up with a population health campaign targeting upstream factors that contribute to their specific pop health area of focus. I coordinate over 280 students in 26 teams linking them with up to 200 community agencies while nurturing a myriad of relationships and upholding The University of Auckland reputation of excellence.
