The young Munich-based technology company develops and sells machines for finishing 3D printed parts. For their core process of order processing, I took on the role of project manager to ensure operational excellence. Together with German and American colleagues from the supply chain (including logistics), sales and service departments, we have improved process mapping in the CRM system Salesforce, which covers the ordering, delivery, installation and maintenance of the machines. This project work was the subject of my bachelor’s thesis, while concurrently I provided assistance to the finance team in Accounts Payable.

As an intern in the Production Controlling department, I supported the preparation of new reports in Excel and Power Point. Most of the time I was involved in the implementation of a new personnel planning tool for the production of painted car bodies in the plant. I helped out with the preparation of the database, designed the interface of the backend with small changes in CSS and wrote a large part of the training material for the colleagues who will be authorized to use the tool in the future. This was the first time I became aware of the relevance of data protection for personal data.
