During my time volunteering at Birmingham Royal Ballet, I frequently helped with children’s programs and open days which has allowed me to work alongside a wide range of ages and abilities from all different backgrounds. Through the company I have also been able to attend training autism awareness courses to allow me to develop my understanding on the best ways to work with people who have the condition.

By being a volunteer sports coach for 3 weeks at summer camps held locally to me, I was able to strongly develop my time management by leading sessions in which activities needed to be done whilst ensuring that they started and finished on time. This also allowed me to develop my communication skills as it was essential that the children were engaged and knew what they were always doing.
