About Anna Hartman

Anna Hartman is a Automation Engineer at Legacy Molding Corporation. She possess expertise in mechanical engineering, matlab, mathcad, simulations, modeling and 27 more skills. She is proficient in German. Colleagues describe her as "Ms. Hartman is a very talented and diligent student with immense knowledge of MATLAB and MATHCAD. She was both patient and persistent in teaching her fellow teammates some tough concepts in simulations. She would be a very good addition to any team because of her strong knowledge and yet down to earth nature." and "Anna has previously worked with me as an intern at NASA Glenn Research Center, and proved herself a very capable team-oriented engineer. Her work assignments supported research hardware and educational demos for NASA’s rotorcraft propulsion program and Condition-Based Maintenance for US Army aviation. During her time at NASA, she quickly learned concepts and methods in vibration monitoring used to determine condition and health of mechanical components in aviation drivetrains. With this background information, she designed research hardware for bearing test rigs that investigate physics of failure for various life-limited mechanical components. She eagerly tackled these tasks and achieved well thought-out designs that met all of the requirements to assure quality of the research data. Additionally, she took on the responsibility of envisioning concepts for a tabletop demonstration rig to support educational outreach and technical interchange. Her designs reflected sound engineering principles as well as creative approaches to the problem that far exceeded our expectations in the time she had available. She enthusiastically shouldered hands-on prototype development to take the design from concept to physical hardware. Her combination of enthusiasm, skills, and work ethic make her a valuable team member in any workplace. She is a pleasure to work with."

Riverton, Wy

As an automation engineer with Legacy Molding, I automate the inspection and processing of molded plastic parts, which will save time, improve quality, and lower cost for Legacy's customers. I also draft mechanical components of designs in SolidWorks. I enjoy sharpening my design talents and taking on fresh engineering challenges for this successful young company with a very promising future. My tasks have included:- Integrating a Universal Robots UR5 with a vision system (Teledyne DALSA) and other peripheral equipment- Writing motion programs for UR5, UR5e; occasional modifications to Yushin TO robot programs- Writing inspection programs in Sherlock- Programming other peripheral equipment, such as PLCs and smart motors- Mechanical design using SolidWorks:... Custom quick-change end-of-arm tooling to accommodate a camera and various grippers... Various peripheral equipment such as detachable workstations, rigripping nests, etc.... Portable controlled lighting environment for parts inspection...Mobile workstation for UR5- Electrical wiring of all major components including direct I/O, relays, solenoids, LEDs- Light manufacturing tasks such as metal cutting, drilling and tapping, and mechanical assembly- Researching, recommending and purchasing all required components

May 2016 - Present

Construction Laborer

Riverton, Wy

During my time laid off from the oilfield, I took the opportunity to learn carpentry, plumbing, wiring, roofing, concrete, fencing and multiple other valuable skills by working for a general contractor.

May 2015 - May 2016

Wireline Field Engineer

Graham, Tx

My most enjoyable time in the oilfield was spent as an open hole wireline field engineer with Pioneer Wireline. Pioneer focuses on maintaining excellent relationships with their clients by providing log interpretation advice in the field and consistently meeting clients' needs in a friendly and professional manner. Logging jobs are completed quickly, efficiently, and safely, while the hands-off management style allows engineers to take greater responsibility and solve problems on the spot.

Sep 2013 - Mar 2015

Open Hole Wireline Field Engineer

Rock Springs, Wy; Edmonton, Ab

As a Field Engineer with Schlumberger, my primary objective was delivering quality data to our clients while maintaining Schlumberger's excellent safety record. I worked in various climates and locations and often around the clock to meet our clients' needs. I was directly responsible for the quality of service delivered at the wellsite, and I was in charge of my operating cell. As a cell leader, I was responsible for the training and development of the personnel assigned to my cell and for the maintenance status of my assigned equipment. My experience with Schlumberger taught me invaluable management skills while exposing me to the many interlocking and time-sensitive operations of the oilfield.

May 2011 - Apr 2013

Gsrp Intern - Guidance And Contols

Nasa Marshall Space Flight Center

Huntsville, Alabama Area

As I was earning my Master's degree, I spent a summer at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center investigating the applicability of nonlinear adaptive control algorithms to launch vehicles, specifically the ARES I platform. As a first step, I derived dynamic models and designed appropriate control algorithms for an inverted pendulum test bed intended to model launch vehicle behavior. I programmed and ran simulations in MATLAB/Simulink for rigid body, fluid slosh and flexible body dynamics. The work I did under the wings of NASA's highly experienced Launch Vehicle Control group dovetailed perfectly into my thesis research and gave me valuable insight into the application of control theory to a real-world system.

May 2010 - Aug 2010

Lercip Intern - Mechanical Engineering

Cleveland/Akron, Ohio Area

During my time as an undergraduate, I spent an exciting summer working at NASA Glenn Research center in Cleveland, OH. Collaborating with experienced engineers and NASA machinists, I designed and drafted the mechanical portion of a Rotorcraft CBM Demo Unit. The tabletop unit demonstrates the capabilities of Conditioned Based Maintenance for rotorcraft in order to generate interest in this developing technology. I tremendously enjoyed this experience. It was a wonderful introduction into research, design and manufacturing and it opened my eyes to a plethora of technological advances in aeronautics and space exploration.
