I fell into recruiting after I graduated college and spent ~5 years in staffing; first hiring contract and FTE roles in telecommunications, then accounting and finance while managing my own book of business and clients from startups to Fortune 500.In 2016 I became a Certified Professional in Human Resources which raised a lot of questions - where could my career take me? Do I want to live in the same state I always have? March 2017 I sold all of my belongings, moved out of my apt in Seattle and booked a one way ticket to Australia and spent 4 months traveling solo in Australia, NZ, Thailand and Indonesia. Favorite memories include: Snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef, making Pad Thai from scratch and seeing fireflies for the first time in Bali. From 2017-2018 I lived back in the PNW where I ran a career-development program called Ready to Rise at Western Washington University, and had the opportunity to gain experience in higher education. Developing a diverse group of students reminded me of the power of young voices in enacting change in your own community, and pivoted my vision to the importance of equity and diversity.But a new adventure was calling my name, because in typical backpacker fashion - I met a lifelong friend in Thailand that convinced me to move to Austin, TX. After working in staffing and non-profit program management I was recruited to Indeed.com (twice - boomerang employee!)to bring in inside sales leadership, data engineering, data analytics and global product solutions candidates. A short, but impactful stint at LogicMonitor showed me the importance of the SDR/BDR function as a pillar for the sales org.Now, I'm a Senior Talent Partner where I am working with our RevOps, inside sales and Rev Enablement teams to hire amazing, diverse talent at Culture Amp! Additionally, I am helping with TA strategy initiatives and driving a new project focused on external, EDI-focused partnership(s).As a lover of new experiences - every week I cook something new, and every year I travel at least 1 place I've never been.
