My PassionI have always had a great interest in medicine, biology and pharmacy because of the impact they have on our daily lives. So it felt like a natural progression to go into medical writing. I am fascinated by my job because it offers me the opportunity to combine research and writing targeted to the needs of different target audiences in a highly creative way.My Expertise As a medical writer in a healthcare consultancy, my job involves preparing communication and education materials in a variety of indications. I have a special interest in pulmonary/respiratory diseases (especially IPF and COPD), but I am also familiar with neurology (especially stroke), microbiology and infectious diseases. Be it training materials for the field force, continuing medical education modules for healthcare professionals or developing materials for patient education and support, I have been able to create attractive, user-friendly concepts with a strong digital focus. Some of them have been as innovative as eBooks, apps or tablet-based networking platforms for patient-case studies. I am currently involved in:* writing and editing of medical education materials * interfacing and liaising with different client teams* designing concepts, developing and implementing medical information websites, apps & eBooks * developing interactive, multimedia training & online learning tools and educational slide-kits* writing congress reports covering relevant news and data from medical congresses* developing and realising educational webinar series for different target groups ranging from patient to healthcare professional
