CATALYST PARKS: Catalyst Parks was a pilot initiative to work intensively in parks in four Toronto Neighbourhood Improvement Areas: Rexdale, Bathurst/Finch, Flemingdon and Chester Le. The goal of Catalyst Parks was to create a model for gathering community input and building local involvement in park projects and programming so that parks in underserved communities can fulfill their potential as vibrant community green space.PARKS 44: Parks 44 was a program to create Friends of the Park Groups in each of Toronto’s 44 wards. PARK FRIENDS NETWORK: A program to provide education and training to a city-wide network of Friends of the Park Groups. RAVINES PROJECT: A program to connect communities to their ravines through nature walks and stewardship events.
