I worked long hours operating machinery to plant, harvest, sort and clean produce and sold all our crops in my family's store – just some of the work I did as the daughter of a self-employed farmer. I graduated from Michigan Tech with a B.S in Mechanical Engineering in May 2015 with a 3.66 GPA, and I worked as an intern for Ford Motor Company and for John Deere.I graduated Caterpillar's Engineering Rotational Development Program in October 2016, after which I joined the motor grader (machine commonly used for road maintenance) work tools (components surrounding the blade) product design group in Decatur, IL working mainly on new technology projects. During my time in the rotational program, I spent 3 months working in product design, 3.5 months in manufacturing/ fabrications, 3.5 months in product support, and 4 months in validation. I have recently moved back to Grand Rapids, MI, and I am enjoying staying home with my baby girl.
