As the Executive Director of Next Generation Nepal, I am the person who needs to make immediate decisions for a child whose safety is at risk, which requires me to be available at any time. My experience in the child protection sector is vast, both on the ground and behind an “open door” office space. I thrive on knowing every aspect of what we do without being overbearing, and I bring to the position key skills in team management, administrative responsibilities including accounting knowledge, budgeting, organizational skills, creative marketing, fundraising, computer skills, etc. Also, on the ground problem solving, program development and current and future strategy planning for the organization and its sustainability. I have worked and lived in Nepal for 20+ years. Beginning in 2002, I was on the ground working directly in child protection, rescue, reintegration, anti-trafficking voluntourism, prevention of child trafficking, advocacy to stop child trafficking and deinstitutionalization. I have been able to work in the midst of a civil war, challenging physical conditions and through a 7.9 earthquake. I bring physical and mental stamina to conditions and programs I am directing.
