The EnterpriseTECH programme offers real world experience to post-graduates who have an interest in entry-level entrepreneurship. The programme provides a stimulating environment, where participants work at the interface of research and the start-up world, and apply skills learnt from workshops and lectures to a project to determine the commercial potential. This aims to develop intuitive decision-making, opportunity identification, creative problem solving, innovation, strategic and design thinking, communication skills, influencing skills, leading, and an increase in financial and business literacy.

As part of my Integrated Master's Degree I carried out research in the Laboratory of Dame Professor Carol Robinson using native mass spectrometry to investigate a bacterial drug efflux pump and its regulatory protein. I found great pleasure in the research and environment, and so continued with a paid summer placement after the official end date for the degree.

I independently sought out a 10 week summer placement in the Department of Reinhard Luehrmann investigating the role of peptidylprolyl isomerases in splicing with full funding for the placement provided by the Laidlaw Foundation as part of the Oxford Laidlaw Undergraduate Research and Leadership Programme (which ran from 2016-2019).
