During my time as a curriculum design specialist and educator with Montgomery County Public Schools, I have found my values akin to the county’s emphasis of excellence, community involvement, and push for cultural proficiency. My experience in Montgomery County has allowed me to work with remarkable students as a curriculum design specialist. During my time in MCPS, I have implemented lessons that are differentiated based on formative and summative data that is soundly rooted in the Benchmark Reading and Eureka Math curricula, and consistently implemented the Universal Design for Learning to ensure every student is able to access the content. In addition to curriculum design and classroom experience, I offer a background in foundational Spanish language, which has proven invaluable in building relationship with scholars and families. I continue to obtain skills that expand the positive impact of learning on students through professional development opportunities offered in and outside of MCPS.
