Contract Manager
CurrentThe role of the Contract Manager within the CMS Project is to provide advice on the management and administration of goods and services contracts held between the CMS Project and vendors engaged to supply goods or services for the project.Responsibilities• Participate in the development of specifications and requirements for equipment, products, or services.• Negotiate or oversee the negotiation of purchase contracts.• Evaluate cost and quality of goods or services• Identify vendors of materials, equipment, supplies for professional services.• Participate in the interview, hire and training of staff of vendors with professional services.• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote alignment with government framework and facilitate best practice purchasing policies and procedures.• Conduct performance monitoring to ensure the sourcing of products and services and resultant contract management lifecycle are undertaken in accordance with government policies and procedures.• Review and monitor the performance of contracts, within the contract management lifecycle.• Coordinate contractual variations, contingency claims, service provider payments, and general contract management.• Maintain register of ongoing procurement contracts, ensuring quality of requirement specifications and evaluation criteria. • Maintain and update contract and procurement records including Zycus and TRIM. • Monitor and address expiring contract as they arise ensuring timely contract management and associated purchase orders.• Identify and implement process improvements and tools that support the CMS Project to delivery.
