I am a tax specialist leading the Professional Services tax team at BDO UK LLP. I provide tax services to Professional Services firms, businesses utilising partnership structures and individuals. I help my clients to analyse their issues and opportunities and structure themselves in order to meet those issues/opportunities. I typically work with Managing Partner's, CEO's, CFO's and Head's of Tax in order to meet their strategic objectives. My specialist advice focusses on partnerships, corporates and partners' strategic tax matters both domestic and international. I frequently work with BDO's international network in over 160 countries to deliver solutions for entities that are increasingly becoming more global.I lead of team of over 25 tax advisors focussed on professional services firms and work with in excess of 100 audit, tax and advisory professionals in this sector.I am on the main Committee and also the Tax Committee chair of the Association of Partnership Practitioners (APP) and contributed to several publications on partnership tax. I am a qualified accountant and chartered tax advisor and started my career in industry working for British Rail before moving to EY to study tax. I joined BDO in 2005 as a Tax Director.
