As a biology and botany teaching assistant, I created and presented weekly lessons, led discussions, and oversaw lab assignments.

Examined the role of plant defenses against herbivores and biological control efficacy in high tunnel production of tomatoes and cucumbers.I conducted insect surveys, collected soil and mycorrhizal samples for analysis and quantified plant fitness, plant-defensive chemistry and herbivore-induced plant volatiles of tomatoes and cucumbers. I was also responsible for organizing and managing greenhouse experiments, data collection, and sample preparation, under the supervision of Dr. Laura Ingwell and Dr. Juli Carrillo, postdoctoral researchers for Dr. Ian Kaplan.
