Responsible for management of Neoleukin’s two facilities. Leader of highly capable and engaged team of four responsible all lab operations and lab procurement. Managed consolidation of all scientific staff in our larger facility, and eventual decommissioning/closeout of both facilities. Chair of CapEx Committee. Chair of Safety Committee.

In addition to previous responsibilities, tasked with standardizing procurement workflows company-wide, with the successful lab ops workflows as a blueprint. Chair of CapEx Committee. Chair of Safety Committee.

Oversaw restructuring of Lab Ops as centralized service for two teams (Research and Tech Ops) in two separate facilities, with Lab Ops now a team of four. Again responsible for all lab operations and lab procurement. Transitioned EHS to new EHS hire. Implemented systems for asset management and tracking, remote equipment and facilities monitoring, inventory management, and improvements to procurement processes to address supply chain disruptions. Managed TI project “site refresh” to update smaller facility to better serve Tech Ops team, which was completed on time and under budget. Served on CapEx committee and DEIB committee. Was recognized again for exemplary work with Neoleukin’s CEO award.

Lead team of two responsible for all lab operations, lab procurement, and EHS, serving a rapidly growing Research team. Was the sole lab-focused Neoleukin representative on the internal design team for Neoleukin’s first TI buildout (facility: 33K ft^2). I worked closely with the architects/engineers and contractors to facilitate a successful lab buildout, with a focus on supporting our scientific and operational needs, as well as designing to facilitate flexibility for future changes needed. Completed Feb 2021, this project was on time and under budget, and highly successful at supporting the constantly-shifting needs of the organization. Managed seamless relocation of Research team to new facility, as well as transition of previous space to new Tech Ops team. Served on DEIB committee.

Responsible for all lab operations, lab procurement, and EHS, serving a fast-paced young startup environment. Managed lab relocation from incubator space to Neoleukin’s first dedicated facility (lab: 1.9K ft^2). Was recognized for exemplary work with Neoleukin’s CEO Award.

Initiated and managed Masters Thesis research project in the Baker Lab at the Plant Gene Expression Center, a research facility collaboration between the Agricultural Research Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Plant & Microbial Biology Department of the University of California, Berkeley. • Performed primary investigative research focused on the innate immunity and pathogen resistance systems of Solanaceae crop family members tomato, potato, and tobacco. Bioinformatic, genetic and genomic analysis led to the identification of two novel families of microRNAs involved in the innate immune systems of these plants.
