Anna was largely responsible for taking a previously volunteer medical clinic in East Multnomah County, The Wallace Medical Concern (WMC), to become a Federal Qualified Health Center, (FQHC), with 30 staff members offering full spectrum ambulatory care. Anna was responsible for the operations of WMC. Since we were a young organization, this included developing the daily operations of the clinics, recruiting, hiring, training and on-going support of clinic and administrative staff. She also had the duties of HR, finance and quality improvement. Multi-tasking was a daily event and she did it with grace. Anna has been trained in management skills, which served the clinic staff well. She used facilitative leadership techniques, treated staff with respect and exuded integrity in all aspects of her work. She helped develop a team-based patient-centered medical home at WMC. To this day, they still use the programs that Anna first instituted. As is evident, I have the utmost respect for Anna Lynch and how and what she accomplished in the days I worked with her. Her intuition works well with her analytic skills to achieve program success. That was my direct experience with Anna’s work.
