January 2019 - Present August 2017 to May 2018 o Process customer payments, supply orders, continuing education unit (CEU) credits, and mail packageso Answer customer phone calls and address their question(s), and organize registration and meeting folderso Communicate with co-workers, meeting organizers, and attendees for successful meetingso Learned about the meetings organized by the National Center for Pavement Preservation civil engineers to continue their education, how to communicate with customers, and how to process payments

o Rotated through the departments of quality assurance, surveying, bridge operations, construction, bridge design, bridge management, and traffic safetyo Prepared and presented a presentation to the Director and other executive staff memberso Learned about numerous areas in MDOT and the importance of each department working together

o Collected aggregate samples and then washed, sieved, and identified the crushed material to determine whether materials passed or failed MDOT requirementso Broke concrete cylinders and calculated the PSIo Combination of driving on the highway and off roads in a MDOT vehicleo Communicated with co-workers and aggregate pit employees on pick up date and time for required samples while keeping all of the samples organized throughout testing processo Learned about aggregates, concrete cylinders, and about other areas involved in road construction while helping MDOT during the busiest time of the year
