I am involved with the ZERO Childhood Cancer Program (ZERO), a trailblazing precision medicine initiative that stands as the most significant childhood cancer research endeavor in Australia. ZERO is transforming the paradigm of pediatric cancer care.In my capacity, I am delegated by the Sponsor to manage the trial. This includes overseeing of all participating sites, guiding them through regulatory approvals, activation, and the entire trial lifecycle. Additionally, I am responsible for remote data monitoring and electronic data capture (EDC) system configuration. My role necessitates frequent interdisciplinary collaboration with oncologists, curators, and site staff, demanding acute organizational skills and the ability to make critical decisions while considering the interests of all stakeholders. I find great satisfaction in this role as it affords me a broad exposure to various facets of clinical research while contributing to research of paramount importance.

I was part of an innovative team dedicated to the integration of decentralized clinical trial capabilities and services into clinical studies throughout the US and Europe. This role encompassed a variety of technologies, including site-specific applications, mobile healthcare solutions, and remote monitoring systems. The primary competencies I honed in this position were vendor management, negotiation, and the resolution of complex challenges. My familiarity with ICH-GCP regulations and project management skills were instrumental in the success of this role.

Worked as a clinical trial assistant and then as a clinical research coordinator where I worked on various exciting clinical trials. I thoroughly enjoyed this role and it ignited my passion for clinical research. Here I gained certification in ICH-GCP guidelines, project management, database testing and critical thinking.

Completed am bachelors degree in Bioscience. It was an extremely interesting course and we were lucky to be taught about new technologies, diagnostic tools, current trends and much more. My class were the first graduates of the course in UL and the course was tailored for industry needs. I feel it’s set me up very well to have a successful career.

Performed environmental monitoring in numerous ISO8 clean rooms in the Regeneron site. Learned what it’s like to perform analysis within a regulated laboratory environment

I thoroughly enjoyed my role working as a pharmacy assistant throughout school and college. It was from this experience that I determined that I wanted to work in healthcare and research. I learned many professional skills such as time management, customer service, organisation skills as well as gaining knowledge in pharmacy and drugs. I was lucky to be given the opportunity to kick start my career while still in school and college.
