Anna then worked as a lead architect on a series of Step-Free Access schemes which involves adapting existing stations, some of which are listed, to accommodate lift shafts and over-bridges for people with reduced mobility. After working in Brisbane Anna returned to London and completed a feasibility study for the Access-For-All scheme at Barking Station as well as producing and submitting the Design & Access Statement for Barking Station capacity upgrade. Anna spent several months in Brisbane, Australia working on the Cross River Rail bid for an underground public transport system in the city. Her role whilst there was Station Lead for one of the stations involving fast paced coordination with a team of engineers and design managers to achieve a fully coordinated station for the submission. Anna registered as an Architect with the ARB whilst working on the detail design for Thames Tideway East. There were 5 sites within this project and Anna took ownership over one while also assisting on the development of the other sites.

Anna inititially began at WW+P working as an architectural assistant on one of the new Crossrail stations in Woolwich. She became Package Lead for Connaught support building after about a year on the project bringing it from concept, through planning, to Stage F. This involved much coordination with the wider design team and client. Anna went on to work on the Wessex Capacity Alliance GRIP 5 based on site in Waterloo station where her main focus was the detail design of the retail enabling works for the new station shopping centre.After this Anna went on to assist in a successful planning application for the capacity upgrade for South Kensington Station which is in part Grade II listed.

Anna worked on several feasibility and concept designs for small to medium scale residential and mixed use building around London, some of which were located within a conservation area. Many of these were developed and submitted for planning.

This was similar to the Hard Rock Berlin, however the methods of working were slightly different. We were each given a set task and were less inclined to deviate into other jobs. However, initiative was often needed given the busy Times Square location.

My job was to attend to customers, deal with their requests, meet their needs and attend to their complaints. I sold merchandise in the Rock Shop along with a team of others. The Shop relied on the team working together. Each person had a role to play which was essential for the smooth running of the Shop. I had to be prepared to jump from one task to the next from crowd control to the cash register.
