As an adjunct faculty member of The Center for Trauma and Embodiment, I offer supervision in the 6 month Certificate Program in Trauma Sensitive Yoga. Responsibilities include supporting program participants, reviewing written assignments and practice videos, offering constructive feedback, and facilitating meetings using a virtual platform for the didactic portion of the program. Additionally, I serve as a Trauma Sensitive Yoga trainer and provide national agency trainings as well as a variety of continuing education workshops throughout the United States.

I provide individual, couples and group therapy sessions for individuals impacted by interpersonal and systemic trauma and violence. I specialize in using an embodied approach to therapy, including Trauma Sensitive Yoga and EMDR. I also provide national and international trainings and consultation on topics including trauma sensitivity, using yoga in clinical settings, how to make yoga classes and studios safer and more inclusive, and understanding empirically validated embodiment practices.

Provide Neurofeedback services for children and adults whose lives have been impacted by traumatic experiences.

Provide neurotherapy to children, adolescent and adults for a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, learning difficulties, developmental disorders, brain injury, headaches and migraines.

Built and implemented whole school counseling program at an international boarding school in Thailand. Provided individual, group and family support to students ages 2 to 18 with the goal of optimizing learning and fostering resilience.

Provide individual and group counseling to a culturally diverse population of students in grades 7-12 during regular counselor's sabbatical leave.

Coordinate research study investigating Neurofeedback and Heart Rate Variability Biofeedback in the treatment of trauma-related symptoms in children.

Provide trauma-informed individual and family treatment services to children, adolescents and adults.

Conduct initial, brief assessment of prospective clients; work closely with insurance companies to ensure coverage of treatment and complete initial authorization; assess for level of care and client safety and take appropriate action; manage schedule for all BIP clinicians, interns and fellows; provide referral information when necessary.

Clinical Therapist at partial hospitalization program for children and adolescents struggling with wide range of mental health conditions (including trauma, conduct, mood, eating and thought disorders). Work under the program director to perform intake sessions, case management, insurance authorization, collateral contact, group therapy, family and school meetings, milieu, crisis management, individual check-ins and case presentations.

Assist two research projects in the Division of Sleep Medicine investigating the influence of yoga on high school students and military veterans. Perform data management/analysis, phone screening and recruitment tasks.

Performed intake/assessment and individual therapy under the supervision of the program director. Worked most closely with clients struggling with substance abuse and mood disorders.

Completed recruitment, screening, scheduling and management tasks for study assessing the use of novel drugs in the treatment of alcohol and cocaine dependence. Learned to perform screening of vital signs as part of the assessment interview.

Independently worked on brain imaging study assessing atrophy of the corpus callosum in individuals with aphasia due to left-hemispheric stroke. Used MRI scans to measure and compare callosal size in patients with aphasia versus age matched controls.

Participated in Summer Internship Program at the National Institute on Drug Abuse. Completed study on behavioral sensitization in mice and rats after acute exposure to cocaine. Assessed locomotor activity changes to monitor sensitization and used microdialysis to measure dopamine concentration changes with cocaine exposure. Completed and presented poster at the National Institutes of Health Poster Day.

Worked on a neurogenetics project to study courtship and mating behavior in fruit flies. Specifically, worked with courtship mutant males that courted other males; performed all courtship and mating recordings and kept detailed log for publication.
