TDIC, is a master developer of leading tourism real estate assets within Abu Dhabi. TDIC plans to build 14 schools (some branded) and 11 nurseries on Saadiyat Island. In this venture, my resposnsibilities include:• Locating the flagship school for Saadiyat Island• Developing and implementation of a framework for getting the selected providers to the TDIC designated areas• Providing financial information for the budget• Providing the framework for providing branded schools in the region• Legal requirements for getting schools registered• Establishing time lines for the overall development of the school including building construction and recruitment• Facilitating the recruitment process for providers who are new to the region• overseeing the recruitment process of existing providers to ensure that the quality of teachers required is met• Overseeing the curriculum structure and assuring that it aligns with the ADEC curriculum guidelines for proper accreditation • Provide regular feedback, verbal and written, progress reports on the school implementation phases• Travel to international destinations and help identify branded schools, nurseries and other related projects that meet with TDIC’s requirements for branded educational institutions.Visited selected top branded educational institutions in the United Kingdom for the selection of a flagship school (December 2 – 11, 2008)Visited selected top branded educational institutions in the United States of America for the selection of one of the top Visual and Performing Arts Schools (January 17 – 30, 2009)Visited educational institutions in the People’s Republic of China (Shanghai, Beijing and Suzhou) (February 15 – 21, 2009)

Emaar Education, a wholly owned and managed subsidairy of Emaar, started operations in April 2007 in the education sector. Raffles International School opened 2 schools and 5 nurseries in this successful start up venture.
