I am a seasoned multi-sector climate adaptation leader with over 23 years of experience in global philanthropy, international NGOs, public sector, public sector, community development, and consulting. My career is dedicated to addressing two of the most urgent challenges of our time: climate change and social equity.As a strategic thinker grounded in practical implementation, I have successfully designed and managed several groundbreaking multi-million-dollar portfolios across Africa, Asia, and North America. Aequita has worked with clients that range from government, philanthropy, policy and research institutions, and community finance institutions. Projects have included extreme heat planning, program strategy and design, research, synthesis, and facilitation. During a three-year project with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), I provided embedded resilience expertise to energy sector staff, catalyzed the launch of an extreme heat action plan for the state, and developed new potential investment domains. I have co-authored reports on climate adaptation, including a background paper on transformative urban adaptation for the Global Commission on Adaptation, and advised philanthropic clients.
