Anna Laghigna is a secondary teacher of English as a foreign language - and German.She is also a teacher trainer for technology-enhanced teaching and a member of the team of European Schoolnet trainers. Her main areas of interest are: Digital Storytelling, Inquiry-based and Project-based Learning, eCLIL.She presently teaches English at a Secondary School in Udine - a small town in the northern part of Italy.Passionate about integrating technology in the classroom, she has been experimenting new ways of creative teaching and learning that focus on developing students’ language skills through creativity, critical thinking and collaboration among peers. On her blog English4U she showcases some of the multimedia projects carried out with her students and celebrates their achievements.After graduation with honours in English Language and Literature, Anna worked long time as a freelance interpreter translator and tourist guide. She has participated in several PD courses and MOOCS by the University of Houston, Polimi Milan and the European Schoolnet Academy, for which she has been a teacher trainer on several courses (MENTEP Course focussed on Technology-Enhanced Teaching, Mentoring in Schools, CoLAB on Collaborative Learning).In December 2015 - within the framework of the European High-level Conference on the EU Digital Agenda in Luxembourg - she was awarded the eSkills for Jobs Prize for teaching digital skills in her classroom.
