I am the owner of The Signing Station. I offer American Sign Language classes to children and their parents using Signing Time products and curriculum. My Baby Signing Time class is a parent/child format for children ages 3 months to less than 4 years old. My Pre-School and Sign class is also parent child but is for ages 2.5 to 5.5 years old and adds in numbers, letters, shapes, colors, etc. I also lead private classes for typically functioning and developmentally disabled individuals. Each class is full of music, movement, games and fun. Children not only learn a second language, but strengthen their overall development and intellect through kinesthetic learning while increasing the parent/child bond. As an Early Start Interventionist I worked one on one with children with learning and developmental delay up to 3 years old in their family home. I also worked with some of these children in a pre-school setting to help integrate or main stream them when they reached 3 years old and transferred to a school district setting. The primary theory and practice of education was Applied Behavioral Analysis using Intensive Behavioral Intervention with Discrete Trials.

Regional Center of Orange County offers service coordination to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. This included finding and maintaining living arrangements, school programming, DME, job placement and retention, community/social connection and health and wellbeing resources, just to name a few.My case load ranged in age from 3 years old to 65 years old with dx of profound MR to Epilepsy living both in home, in the community and in facilities. However, the bulk of my case load was with children with Autism ranging in age from 3 years to 22 years old living in their family home and receiving school district services.
